I feel hollow forms only halfway to prevent cracking when the form shrinks over the carbon. The carbon inside the form generates enough carbon diaoxide to protect the piece from oxidizing and help the sintering. After the first phase I don&#039;t touch the piece at all. It&#039;s too fragile. I just vacuum the ash, add carbon and fire.</description>
