Hi Amy,

I grind away the copper to the level of the silver. Sometimes there is too much shrinkage and you need to add silver clay and re-fire.

Hadar, when you add unfired silver clay to fired copper clay, how do you compensate for the shrinkage of the silver clay? Do you leave extra silver clay so that when it’s fired it is close to the same level as the copper, or do you just sand away the copper clay to match the silver clay when you finish the piece?
