Phoebe,

I have not tried this wire so I can't give you a reliable answer. I use bronze and nickel-chromium wire. It does not apply to copper embeddables, as long that they are not wire.

In Pam East's article in Metal Clay Jewelry (Dec 2010, special issue from Art Jewelry Magazine), she says as long as the copper wire is 99.9% pure, dead-soft it can be fired without a problem, although second firings can make it brittle. Please let me know if I can go ahead and use the wire I just bought (yes, pure, dead soft). Also, how does this pertain to the copper "Embeddables"?

Hi Kim,

I have not. My guess is that bronze or brass wire would work well.
